Senior game programmer and creator of Arctic Engine
About Me
During the day, I work as a senior videogame programmer, crafting commercial games. At night, I maintain Arctic Engine - a lightweight game engine I created because I wanted something that keeps simple things simple while making complex things possible.
My Philosophy
I believe game development should be fun and accessible, just like it was in the 80s and 90s when individual programmers could create entire games by themselves. This philosophy is deeply embedded in Arctic Engine's design principles.
Arctic Engine
My engine embodies simplicity without sacrificing capability:
- Lightweight and easy to master
- Quick compilation
- Minimal footprint
- No third-party dependencies
- Cross-platform support (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Raspberry Pi 3, HTML5 via Emscripten)
My Mission
I want to restore the joy of game programming by providing C++ developers with a powerful yet straightforward tool that removes unnecessary complexity while maintaining the freedom to create anything they imagine.
"Simple things should be simple, complex things should be possible."
